Fritti

in atlanta, dining out

People sleep on Fritti, the longstanding Neapolitan pizzeria in the Inman Park area, which has been making really nice pies for a loooong time.

I forget about it too, and I shouldn’t. It’s the sort of neighborhood place I would visit frequently if I lived nearby, though I’ve been hearing good things about Old Fourth Ward Pizza in the nearby Irwin Street Market (aka “shit why did Krog Street Market have to open across the street”).

It’s a great place for a sit down pie, serving juxtaposition to the neighborly, sometimes stressful experience at Antico. The menu is large, and every pie can be made gluten free for celiacs and hypochondriacs alike.

Our pizzas were very good. Not stunners, not best ever, and I even saw a few people who didn’t Instagram their food, but quite enjoyable. Pizza.

It’s a perfectly solid restaurant. But I should point out most folks would say Fritti is in Inman Park.

  • Ah good call. Updated thanks.

I think the calamari is the sleeper here. It’s simple, but perfectly executed time and again
