Meatstick

in atlanta, dining out

Finally, I tried the Meatstick, the formerly off-menu burger at One Eared Stag. It’s a top selection on their brunch menu, based on my dining room observations.

I’ll save you the suspense, to me it’s a top burger in Atlanta. I think I like it more than Bocado and The General Muir. Muss & Turner’s, when well cooked, is the best burger in Atlanta, but it’s sort of in a different category than these burgers.

This double burger is both crusty and crumbly, allowing cheese to seep all the way down to the bottom of the hefty bun. Topped with shaved white onion and pickles, served with crackly fries with sea salt, it’s a greasy burger brunch dream.

$12, comes with fries and stares from tables who’ve not yet ordered.

Go to Gato Bizco and order my creation, the Bizco Cristo. It’s their regular burger improbably served on a french-toastified burger bun. It’s a contender.
