Paper Plane, the restaurant sharing space and ownership with the new in Decatur, is now open. Victory has been open for a stretch, but I was waiting for the Paul Calvert helmed counterpart to open before I made the trek from Buckhead to Decatur.
Paper Plane shares a kitchen with Victory, but very much has its own identity. Different feel, drinks, and food.
They were very busy, as I expect they will be in perpetuity.
This isn’t a review. Just some photos. I endured my mullet-haired waiter’s mockery to take them, so even though they are washed out (trying to learn to appropriately drag the shutter in low light), here they are for your eye ball consumption.
Drinks get an A.
Food gets a B but the semester is far from over.
Distance from my house gets a D.
It’s great to see Paul smiling and making cocktails.
