All Over the Palate #24. I’ve been seeing poblanos/chile rellenos all over the place lately, and the Running With Tweezers example below has been one of the best. Also check out the example from Macheesmo. The burrata needed for the fig recipe below can be purchased from Star Provisions, but it’s been going fast. I talked to Tim Gaddis yesterday in the cheese shop at SP, and in his words, “apparently twitter is the way to sell burrata”.

  • It’s far better to see a chile relleno that is a whole stuffed pepper than the classic “Atlanta Tex Mex” ‘chile relleno’: an inch thick ring of bell pepper with a bit of ground beef and white cheese poured into the middle.

    I rather welcome our newer, bigger, better chile relleno overlords ;).
